Innovative 100kW Automotive Fuel Cell Architecture Showcased at JSAE Automotive Engineering Exposition

Intelligent Energy attended the JSAE Automotive Engineering Exposition, in Yokohama, from May 20-22, where we showcased our innovative 100kW automotive fuel cell architecture. This technology provides vehicle manufacturers with a new high performance solution for the next generation of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) by utilising our superior stack technology and is designed to deliver primary power within an advanced electric driveline.

Extensive research, engineering, cost reduction and test activities carried out by our Motive division has resulted in a high power fuel cell solution for the automotive industry. With over 25 years’ experience of developing scalable fuel cell systems we have already forged collaborative commercial partnerships with major vehicle manufacturers and by bringing our 100kW architecture to JSAE we were able to both build on existing relationships and develop new automotive partnerships.

A busy time on the stand during the show included highlights such as a visit by the British Ambassador to Japan, Timothy Hitchens, an interview with the Telegraph and hosting a film crew from JETRO (Japan External Trade Organisation) for an interview and film shoot to be aired on Nikkei CNBC and streamed over the internet from the 4th June (http://www.jetro.go.jp/tv/)
